Project 9. Create Calendars Using the Creation Feature

Let Photoshop Elements' Creation feature automatically create a calendar using your own images.

Tools: Photoshop Elements

Materials: Your photos

In this project you will learn how to create a calendar using the Creation feature in Photoshop Elements.

Get started. To begin, you'll create a collection with 12 images (to represent the months). In the Organizer's Collections tab, click New and select the images from the Photo Browser for your new collection. Save your new collection with the title for your scrapbook.

Note: If you need help with making a new collection, see Project 1.

Choose and set up your creation. Double-click your new collection icon so that you are viewing only those images. Next, click the Create icon (). The images in your collection will automatically be selected for your scrapbook.

In the Creation Setup dialog box, choose Calendar Pages and click OK. Step 1 is the Creation Set-up. Choose the style of calendar you want and set your other options such as captions, and title page. Click Next step when you are done.

Arrange your photos. In the next dialog box, you will see all of your images in the order that they will appear on your calendar. To change the order, simply click on the image and drag it the position you want.

Add your captions. In the Customize dialog box, add the title of your scrapbook by double-clicking in the box below the title photo. Use the arrow keys on the side of the image to add the next caption. If you don't want the caption, click on the caption box and press delete. Click Next Step to save your creation.

Create! In the Save dialog box, give your creation a name and click Save. Decide how you want to distribute your calendar: you can create a PDF, or print it to your home printer. Then click Done.
