4.27. What is service composition?Just as it's possible within ESA to compose applications from services (thus creating composite applications), it's also possible to compose new services from existing ones. These differ from composite applications in that they are still services that are designed to be consumed by other applications, and thus they contain all of their functionality within themselves instead of consuming them from other services, as composite applications do. Service composition is especially useful for creating specialized services that might be simpler and better suited to a task than composite applications. |
