Chapter 11. Keeping Your Data Safe and Synchronized

In This Chapter

  • Establishing Good Security Practices

  • Data Management

  • Protecting Yourself with Backups

  • Data Synchronization

  • Accessing Data While Offline

Why use a computer unless it's for dealing with important information, data, files, and the like? If your data is important, it's important enough to take care of. Securing your machine and files against unknown prowlers is just as important as making good backups. In addition, keeping your data synchronized with other file-storage areas will help others keep up with the changes you make to documents, or allow you to use multiple computers (though I don't know why you'd want to use anything other than your trusty Tablet PC).
