In This Chapter
Windows Journal is the cornerstone application of the Tablet PC. In addition to enabling you to take notes at the same speed as you would with a pen and paper, Windows Journal also offers more flexibility. For example, using Windows Journal, you can insert space between ideas and choose from an almost limitless set of drawing tools. In addition, you can create templates and forms using Windows Journal. Notice in Figure 6.1 that you can write directly inside the application. With the exception of making paper airplanes, whatever you would normally do with a paper notebook write, doodle, take notes you can do in the Windows Journal. And then some. Figure 6.1. You can use Windows Journal to do almost anything you would do on a piece of paper.
Since Windows Journal is specifically a Tablet PC application, there is a Windows Journal Viewer available for those who are not enlightened enough to use Tablet PCs yet. I show you how to get it at the end of this chapter. |
