Many managers say that they want candid input from their team members, but they don't take the simple actions necessary to get it. Consequently, they don't learn what others think will work best, and team members lack full commitment for successful implementation of any given solution. They also fall prey to fears, egotism, and inaccuracies. Step #7 is a means to overcome all of these problems, and it enables team members to find the best solutions to the problem they are trying to solve.
