| This appendix covers what you need to perform the examples and actions in this book. First you will see which Linux kernels from the 2.2 and 2.4 series were used. The kernel configurations and patches will be shown. Next you will see the various patches used for NetFilter and the related utilities. And then you'll see a listing of most of the software versions and dates for the software used. This leads into the installation and configuration guide for the PakSecured distribution on the CD. This distribution was used to test and run all of the examples and compile all of the software referred to throughout the book. |
