You can use different headers or footers in different portions of your document. If you plan to use more than two headers or footers, insert section breaks before you begin. See the section “Insert a Section Break” for details.
Click in the first section for which you want to create a header or footer.
Click View.
Click Header and Footer.
The Header and Footer toolbar appears.
The text in your document appears dimmed, and the insertion point appears in the Header – Section 1 box.
Type in the Header-Section 1 box.

The Header-Section 2 or Footer-Section 2 box appears.
) to unlink the headers or footers.
Word unlinks the headers or footers and removes the “Same as Previous” marking from the header or footer.
Type the text you want to appear in this section’s header or footer.
Repeat steps 7 to 9 for each section for which you want a different header or footer.

Yes, and you do not need to insert section breaks.

On the Header and Footer toolbar, click the Page Setup icon ( changes to Each header or footer box is renamed to Odd Page or Even Page.
Type in the Odd Page Header box or click to switch to the Even Page Header box or the Even Page Footer box.
