Occasionally, you need to search for a word or phrase in a document. You may also need to change that word or phrase. Using Find and Replace, you can search and substitute as needed.
Click Edit.
Click Find.
The Find and Replace window appears.
Type the word or phrase for which you want to search.
Click Find Next.
Word highlights the first occurrence of the word or phrase.
You can click Find Next again to find additional occurrences of the word or phrase.
When Word finds no more occurrences of the word or phrase, this dialog box appears.
Click OK.
Click Cancel to close the Find and Replace window.

No. Word searches from the location of the insertion point down through the end of the document and then, if necessary, continues searching from the beginning of the document. The search ends when Word reaches the location of the insertion point where the search began.
