Rotate a Graphic

For dramatic effect, you can rotate pictures, clip art images, and some AutoShape images. You cannot rotate text boxes.

1. Click the image you want to rotate.

   Handles ( or ) appear around the image.

2. Move the mouse over the green handle at the top of the image ( changes to ).

3. Drag the mouse in the direction you want to rotate the image.

   A dotted line marks the image position.

   

   Word displays the rotated image.

   You can press to cancel the selection of the image.
