Print a Document


If your computer is connected to a printer that is turned on, you can print your document to produce a paper copy of it.

  1. Click File.

  2. Click Print.

    The Print dialog box appears.

    image from book If you have more than one printer available, you can click here and select a printer.

  3. Click a Page Range option to identify the pages you want to print (image from book changes to image from book).

  4. To print more than one copy, type the number of copies to print here.

  5. Click here and select what you want to print.

    image from book You can click the Print image from book to print odd or even pages instead of all pages.

    image from book You can use this option to specify the number of pages you want to print on each sheet of paper.

    image from book You can use this option to adjust the document to fit on a selected paper size.

  6. Click OK.

    Word prints your document using the options you selected.

How can I print only certain text in my document?

Select the text before starting these steps. In step 3, click Selection, which will be available because you selected text.

Can I print noncontiguous pages of my document?

Yes. Follow steps 1 to 3, clicking the Pages option (image from book changes to image from book) in step 3. In the Pages box, type the pages you want to print, such as 1,3,4,7-9.
