Web Services Resource Transfer (WS-RT) and

WS-Transfer

Purpose:

To specify a set of rules for accessing, creating, and deleting fragments of named data, so long as the named data (called a resource) has an XML representation. The resource can be a Web page, an SOA-registry entry, or other data that is available at an endpoint or can be produced by a Web service.

Sponsor:

A group of several corporations has submitted the proposed WS-Transfer standard to the W3C and is working on WS-RT, which will follow.
