Most textbooks on numerical methods discuss solving differential equations numerically, such as Chapra in Chapter 25, Cheney in Chapter 8, and Conte in Chapter 8. These books also cover other algorithms, including those for solving higher order differential equations. Chapra has an especially good discussion of the various Runge-Kutta algorithms.
