About the CD-ROMs

Included with this book are three CD-ROMs.

The Supplemental Course Materials CD-ROM contains a variety of informational aids that will be used throughout this book. These include a Tools folder that contains such tools as the Active Directory Migration Tool (ADMT), Service Pack 5 for Windows NT 4.0 Server, and setup scripts for the hands-on practices contained in the book. These files will be copied to your hard disk as described in the practices. Also included are third-party software useful in migration deployments and the Domain Migration Cookbook white paper from Microsoft, which presents several in-depth scenario-based migrations.

A complete electronic version of this book is also included on the Supplemental Course Materials CD with a variety of on-screen viewing options available. For information about using the online book, see the section "About the Electronic Book" later in this chapter.

Two additional CD-ROMs are included with this book. One is an evaluation edition of Windows NT 4.0 Server, which can be used to set up the practice network as the starting point for migrating to Windows 2000. The other CD-ROM contains an evaluation edition of Windows 2000 Advanced Server, which will also be used in the practices included with this book.
