Making Selects Using Keyboard Shortcuts


Using keyboard shortcuts is an excellent way to speed up the process of giving images a five-star Select rating. The shortcut for the Select command is the backslash (\) key. Pressing the backslash key gives a five-star rating to an image or to groups of images. Let's use keyboard shortcuts now to get good close-up looks at potential selects in the Viewer and rate them.

1.

Use the arrow keys to navigate to the DSC_0980 image in the Browser.

Press Option-R to switch to the Primary Viewer mode.

Yes, this is a good shot to send to the retailer.

Press the backslash (\) key to rate this image as a select.

Press Option-U to return to the Multi Viewer mode.

5.

Use the arrow keys to navigate to the DSC_0982 image in the Viewer.

Press Option-R to switch to the Primary Viewer mode.

Yes, now that we can see it larger, we can appreciate the atmosphere that this image conveys. Let's select it.

Press the backslash key (\) to rate this image as a select.

Press Option-U to return to the Multi Viewer mode.

Rate the following additional South America images as selects: DSC_0966, DSC_0976, DSC_0979, DSC_0999, and DSC_1006.
