histogram
A chart that displays the frequency with which pixels of various intensities (dark or light) appear in an image.
hot-shoe bracket
An apparatus at the top of a camera designed to hold a portable flash. See also flash.
HUD
Heads-up display: a floating panel with various options. Different HUDs can adjust levels, increase brightness, modify color temperature, assign keywords, straighten horizons, or make any other adjustments.
hue
An attribute of color perception, also known as color phase. Red and blue are hues.
