Shooting is often only half the battle of getting a good image. No matter how skilled a photographer you are, the editing phase is what frequently makes the difference between a usable and an unusable image. Sometimes you'll use your editing tools to correct problems, but your editing and adjusting tools are also the key to fine-tuning your image. With them, you'll turn the raw shot into the finished image that you saw in your mind's eye when you captured it.

In Lessons 4 and 7 you took a look at Aperture's editing tools and so should be comfortable using exposure and tint, levels, and other basic correction features. In this lesson we're going to go a little deeper and explore the rest of Aperture's editing options as well as spend some time discussing why you should choose one tool rather than another.
