An action button is a graphic that is specifically designed for use as a hyperlink. Action buttons enable the person watching the presentation to move between slides by clicking on graphical buttons onscreen.
You can place an action button on an individual slide (for example, as a jump point to a hidden slide), or you can place it on the Slide Master so that the same button appears on all slides.
Open the slide on which you want to place the action buttons. The slide will appear in Normal view.
Note | If you want to place the button on all slides, display the Slide Master in step 1. |
Click on Slide Show. The Slide Show menu will appear.
Point to Action Buttons. A submenu will appear.
Click on the button that you want to insert into the slide. The mouse pointer will turn into crosshairs.
Click on the mouse pointer where you want to place the navigation button. The button will appear in a predefined size, and the Action Settings dialog box will open.
OR
Click and drag the mouse pointer to the exact size and shape you want for the button. When you release the mouse, the button will appear, and the Action Settings dialog box will open.
Click on OK to accept the default hyperlink. The button will be used as a hyperlink to the specified page.
Action buttons are treated just like AutoShapes for the purposes of formatting.
