Problem

Discussion

The Flash Lite 1.1 player supports both device sounds (sounds that are passed from the Flash movie to the host device for playback) and native sounds (sounds that are played natively by the Flash Lite Player). Although the techniques for incorporating native sounds in Flash Lite are analogous to those used in Flash development for the web, the use of device sounds requires a special technique whereby you utilize a proxy sound file as a placeholder for the device sound. The reason for this technique is that Flash 8 Professional doesn't understand many of the device sound formats that can be played by the host device.
