Difficulty Level 1
When a friend sends you an e-mail and you click Reply to answer the e-mail, you are creating a thread. Should your friend decide to also reply, that message also becomes part of the thread. Later, when you want to review each of the messages in that thread, you have to scroll through all of your messages looking for similar subject lines. Or do you?
Panther adds a nice feature to the Mail application that helps you keep track of e-mail threads. Mail can display e-mail in a hierarchical folder arrangement, much like List view in the Finder. That way, you can backtrack through the thread and reread the previous messages that pertain to any new ones that arrive by simply expanding the thread’s enclosing folder. This takes a lot of the guesswork and scrolling out of replying to e-mails.
