Save Web Pages on Your Hard Drive

Task #78

Difficulty Level 2

One of the biggest pains about saving Web pages is that they are usually composed of many different files. To save them properly, you have to save each individual part of the page. This usually means that you must know HTML and will have to look at the source code for the page. This is hardly elegant, nor particularly fun. It also has a negative side effect. Depending on how the Web page is served, this may not even work. It is an unreliable and troublesome method to save a Web page.

Panther offers a much slicker way to save Web pages. By printing to PDF, you can maintain formatting, images, and fonts and keep the whole thing saved in one file. Not only is one file easier to manage, but the PDF file looks exactly like the Web page as viewed in the browser.
