In the world of the graphical user interface — or GUI, as it is commonly called — the mouse pointer is king; therefore, Panther enables you to fine-tune your mouse’s behavior to match your preferences.

Even if you have been using Mac OS X for months now, you may find yourself returning to the Keyboard & Mouse pane in System Preferences when you buy a new trackball or a different mouse; generally, these new toys require a bit of adjustment before you are comfortable with them.

Customize It!

For precise work such as image editing or desktop publishing, you may want to temporarily slow your mouse tracking. Conversely, fast-action 3D games benefit from faster mouse tracking, and you are likely to benefit from a faster mouse pointer in your everyday applications.
