Adding a Web Part to the More Page Tab

Now that a Things To Bring list called Homework has been created, you should probably make this list visible to all of the people who will be attending the meeting. In our scenario, Olga Kosterina wants to ensure that attendees bring their international vendor lists to the Public Workshop.

In this exercise, you will add a Web Part that displays the contents of the Homework list on the More Page tab.

OPEN the home page of the SharePoint Meeting Workspace created in the first exercise in this chapter: http://wideworldimporters/PublicWorkshops. If prompted, type your user name and password, and click OK.

BE SURE TO verify that you have sufficient rights to add Web Parts. If in doubt, see the Appendix on page 435.

1. Click the More Page tab. The page should display with the Text Box Web Part from a previous exercise showing.

2. On the Site Actions menu, choose Edit Page.

3. In the Left Web Part Zone, click Add a Web Part.

4. In the Add Web Parts – Web Page Dialog, choose the check box to the left of the Homework list and click Add.

5. In the top right corner of the page, click Exit Edit Mode. The item from the Homework list displays directly above the Text Box Web Part on the More Page tab.

CLOSE the browser.
