Saving QuickTime Movies from a Web Browser

When you view a QuickTime movie in a Web browser window, the movie is downloaded from Internet but is not saved permanently on your hard drive. You may be able to save the movie from the Web browser as a movie file on your hard drive so that you can watch the movie again in QuickTime Player without downloading it again. You can save a QuickTime movie from a Web browser only if you have QuickTime Pro and only if the author of the movie allows saving the movie.

To save a QuickTime movie that’s displayed in a Web browser, Control-click the movie and choose Save As QuickTime Movie from the contextual menu that appears. You can also make the contextual menu appear by clicking a movie in the browser window and holding the mouse button down for a few seconds. (The Save As QuickTime Movie choice does not appear in the contextual menu if you do not have QuickTime Pro or if the author of the movie does not allow saving the movie.)
