I'd like to express thanks to those who have inspired me creatively and otherwise: my high school art teacher, Sherryl Knox, who gave me the eyes to understand visual expression; my guitar teacher and lifelong friend, Scott Roby, who taught me to teach; my elementary school music teacher, Mrs. Young, who showed me how technology and creation can go together; Bill Allen of 3D Artist magazine, who encouraged me to write about 3D computer graphics; my father, who introduced me to computing with the gift of a Z80-based microcomputer when I was still in junior high school; my mother, who taught me to read before kindergarten and taught me the principles of art and music from before I can remember; my sisters, Diane, Tracy, and Tonya, who have always lifted me up with words of encouragement and faith; and my wife, who showers guidance, support, and encouragement upon me at every turn.
