After you select the text you want to highlight, click the down arrow next to the Highlight button on the Formatting toolbar and select a color from the list that appears.
The selected text is highlighted.
INTRODUCTION
When you want to draw attention to important text, you can highlight it, just like you use a highlighter when reading books or articles to note the important parts. Highlighting is different from applying a text color, however, because highlighting alters the color of the text's background, not the text itself.
TIP
Typing Highlighted Text
Instead of highlighting text after it is typed, you can select a highlight color and then begin typing. Anything you type will be highlighted in the color you selected until you change it back to None (the default highlight color).
TIP
Highlighting Options
You can display or hide highlighting on the screen and in the printed document by opening the Tools menu and selecting Options. In the Options dialog box, select the View tab, and uncheck the Highlight check box.
