Right-click a hyperlink and select Edit Hyperlink from the shortcut menu that appears to open the Edit Hyperlink dialog box.
Click the ScreenTip button to open the Set Hyperlink ScreenTip dialog box.
In the ScreenTip Text field, type the text that the hyperlink's ScreenTip should display. Then, click OK in the Set Hyperlink ScreenTip and Edit Hyperlink dialog boxes.
Move the mouse pointer over the hyperlink; the new ScreenTip text is displayed.
INTRODUCTION
Hyperlinked text is indicated by a different color, an underline, and a ScreenTip that is visible when the mouse pointer moves over the link. By default, the ScreenTip text is the document path, URL, or email address to which the link refers. You can change a link's ScreenTip by following the steps in this task.
TIP
Text to Display
In addition to altering a ScreenTip associated with a hyperlink, you can alter the hyperlink text displayed in your Office document. For example, you can have the www.microsoft.com hyperlink appear in your document as Microsoft. To do so, alter the contents of the Text to Display field in the Edit Hyperlink or Insert Hyperlink dialog box.
