Changing the Slide Layout

In Normal view, click the slide in which you want to alter the layout in either the Outline or Slides tab.

Open the Format menu and select Slide Layout to open the Slide Layout task pane, or select the Slide Layout option from the task pane drop-down list.

Scroll through the available slide layouts and click the one you like.

The selected layout is applied to the slide and the text and objects remain intact (although it might automatically resize to fit on the slide better).

INTRODUCTION

To add visual interest to your presentation, you can vary the layout of your slides. You can choose from numerous slide layouts (called AutoLayouts), including many that let you add features such as clip art, tables, and graphs.

CAUTION

Layout Overlap

If you apply a layout after you have finished a slide, some of the design formatting might overlap some of the information on your slides. If this happens, simply rearrange your information or remove the layout from the particular slide.
