Summary

This has been sort of a whirlwind chapter on globalization and localization. You saw how to create satellite assemblies and associate them with both Windows and Web applications.

Note

There is a lot of information in the MSDN documentation on installing and using localized applications. However, there are a certain number of inaccuracies in the help file. I suggest you take the time to perform your own research on the best way to localize your specific application.

This gives you the ability to create an application that can be used anywhere in the world with little extra work. Although the work may be more difficult at first because of having to name every label and write code to add text to every label, in the long run it will save you a lot of time and effort. This chapter should serve as a solid introduction to what you can do to create internationally enabled applications.
