What Are the Windows Vista Installation Requirements?

To install Windows Vista, you need the following:

• A Windows Vista DVD and product activation key.

• A DVD drive.

• A Pentium III, Celeron, or compatible CPU running at a speed of at least 800 MHz. You must have at least a 1 GHz processor for the Aero features to function.

• At least 512 MB of RAM memory, but at least 1 GB of RAM for Aero features.

• A hard disk with a capacity of 40 GB and 15 GB of free space.

• A graphics card that supports DirectX 9 and WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model), and has 128 MB of graphics memory for the Aero features.

• A Super VGA or better monitor.

• A keyboard and mouse (or other pointing device).
