View Pictures Using Media Center

Media Center makes it easy to view your saved pictures on your computer. This makes it nice to show family and friends the photographs you have taken over the years . Click Pictures + Videos and then Picture Library to display the Picture Library windows (see Figure 22-11).

To view a picture, click it. The picture appears full screen. Click the Play button and Media Center turns your collection of pictures into a slide show that streams across the screen. You can click the Close button to stop the slide show and return to the Picture Library window. While there, you can click the Play Slide Show button to launch the slide show again.

In the Picture Library window, you can organize the pictures according to folders, tags, or date taken. For example, to see pictures taken on a specific day, click Date Taken. Media Center displays pictures in folders named after the months of the year that a picture was taken. Click a folder to see all the pictures for that month. Likewise, if you prefer to see pictures organized by descriptive tags, click the Tags button.
