There is a whole new family emerging now as more companies are named as having great cultures. The desire for learning and the willingness to share means that companies contact each other to talk and benchmark together. Given the common theme of ‘pinching ideas', it makes sense that they would speak and share learning.
It has been a fascinating experience to visit and talk with so many interesting companies. Each one opened its doors to me, enabled me to talk with whomever I wanted. They trusted me to represent them well and supported me in every way I needed. I have met some fantastic people, some face to face and some over the phone - I know about kids, holidays, GCSE results, and they know about me. The warmth created from being treated in this way is an accolade to each and every one of those people who are the face of the company.
