Summary

This chapter reviewed the elements that you need to add to an application to enable interoperability. It also covered best practice recommendations for interoperability. It then looked at how the developers implemented these elements in the application architecture for the XBikes sample application. It described how this enabled the developers to link the two platforms using multiple techniques and, importantly, to change the linking method. The remaining chapters describe how the developers added these interoperability elements.
