Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse
Now Logitech goes one better and moves beyond traditional optical technology with a laser-operated mouse. That's right, the MX1000 uses a tiny laser beam to "read" the desktop below, providing 20 times the tracking resolution of a typical optical mouse. That's damned precise, great for either traditional application mousing or high-performance gaming. And the laser technology lets you roll the mouse over any surface with equal precision (really!), no mouse pad required. The cordless part of the MX1000 uses RF technology, which is pretty well perfected by now. The mouse is recharged in a separate desktop charger/receiver stand; there's a four-level LED battery indicator on the mouse itself which lets you know when it's time to recharge. Of course, no state-of-the-art mouse would be state-of-the-art without more than the standard left and right buttons. In the case of the MX1000, you get a tilt-wheel for side-to-side scrolling, Cruise Clocker buttons for rapid up-and-down scrolling, thumb-button back and forward buttons, and an extra application switcher button that's surprisingly useful. Even better, all these buttons don't make the mouse feel crowded; everything is just where you expect it to be. Best of all, this is a very solid-feeling mouse. It feels good in your hand, with a nice heft and a comforting solidity. All the wheels and buttons work in an exceedingly crisp manner, and don't feel mushy (like most Microsoft mice do). Logitech has pulled out all the stops with this one great performance, solid feel, you name it. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. It's head and shoulders above the type of mouse that comes standard with the typical desktop PC.
Logitech MediaPlay Cordless MouseLogitech's MediaPlay is more than just a mouse; in addition to scrolling around your desktop, you can pick it up and use it like a television remote control. You get all the standard (and not-so-standard) mouse buttons, including tilt-wheel and page navigation buttons, along with special buttons to control your Windows Media Center PC. Naturally, it's cordless; the wireless receiver connects to your PC via USB.
Razer Diamondback MouseRazer's Diamondback is the ultimate gaming mouse. It's a wired mouse with the ultra-precision necessary for playing today's PC games, provided by a high-quality infrared optical sensor. It features 7 programmable buttons optimized for gaming response, and connects to your PC via USB. The Diamondback is also way-cool looking, available in translucent Chameleon Green and Salamander Red.
Microsoft Optical Mouse by S+ARCKMicrosoft is known more for functionality than for style, but this mouse is an exception. The Microsofties partnered with European designer Philippe Starck to create this cool-looking rodent. It's a symmetrical design, inspired by the two hemispheres of the human brain if the human brain had a glowing blue or orange strip down the middle. Feature-wise, this is a standard two-button corded optical mouse with scroll wheel, so it'll do everything you need it to do and look cool doing it.
Logitech Football Mouse for KidsOkay, it's cool enough that this is a mouse that looks like a football. But the really neat thing is that this is a mouse designed for little kids it's just 2/3 the size of a standard mouse, perfect for small hands. And even though it's small, it works just like its big brothers, with corded optical technology. The football thing is just a bonus!
