About the Technical Reviewers

Deborah Dworanczyk has been working in telecommunications since completing graduate school in 1997. She has a background in managing staff, customers, accounts, and proposals, as well as a background in voice and data and wired and wireless technologies. She is taking these skills with her as she embarks on a new position with AT&T Technical Services Corp. as a Project/Capture Manager. Prior to making the move to AT&T TSC, Deborah was a Project Manager for Global Crossing Telecommunications. In this capacity she was responsible for the implementation of customers' global networks, as well as the ongoing maintenance and customer relations associated with these accounts. Prior to joining the Global Crossing team, Deborah had the opportunity to manage the technicians and their daily operations at the Telecommunications Service Office (TSO) of the White House and the Executive Office of the President (EOP). Deborah's primary responsibility included being the point of contact and primary point of escalation for the White House and EOP for all Lucent telecommunication services, networks, equipment, and associated systems.

Deborah has a master's degree in public administration from the American University in Washington, DC. She graduated from Albright College in Reading, PA with a dual degree in Economics and Political Science. Currently she is completing course work in telecommunications engineering at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Deborah currently resides in Washington, DC and is part owner in the independent record label Keep Safe Records.

Lindsay Hiebert is Cisco Systems, Inc. Marketing Manager and Consulting Product Manager for the Integrated Communications Business Unit. His recent responsibilities include marketing and technical marketing for the AVVID CallManager products, including the Branch Office Solutions products within the Integrated Communications Business Unit. Mr. Hiebert has three years of experience in deploying Cisco's advanced communications technologies and applications for IP Telephony, Unified Messaging, and IP Contact Centers for Cisco's 280 locations worldwide. His experience has been used in over 100 Cisco Executive Briefings to Enterprise Customers and in consulting roles to assist sales and support teams in the field.

Amir Kazemzadeh was born in 1968 in Iran and received his bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland in 1991. He has been taking graduate courses in Electrical Engineering at George Mason University, with a concentration of studies in Telecommunications. Since 1994, Amir has been working with the major telecommunications companies and focusing on the design of Internet backbone for small to mid-sized ISPs. In the past few years, he has gained experience and knowledge in the design of high-speed data transfer via SONET and WDM technologies.

Amir's continued training has been in the following areas: fiber Optics; wave division multiplexing; SONET technologies; network management analysis; ATM & Frame Relay services; TCP/IP protocol; introduction to Cisco Routers (CCNA); BGP-4, Internet routing, and MPLS; advanced IP design skills and understanding of Routing Protocols such as BGP, MPLS; Layer 2: Frame Relay, ATM, SONET, ISDN, PPP; Ethernet (10M/Fast/Gigabit); FDDI and Token Ring; understanding of third-generation (3G); broadband, packet-based transmission of text; digitized voice, video, and multimedia at data rates up to and possibly higher than 2 megabits per second.
