MD5

Developed by RSA Labs, Message Digest 5 (MD5) is a hash function that takes a string of arbitrary length and produces a fixed-length output of 128-bits. Hash algorithms turn a variable-sized amount of text into a fixed-sized output (hash value) and are used in creating digital signatures.
