Static Front Page


The static front page plugin allows you to set a WordPress Page as the home page of your blog.

The static front page plugin was written by Denis de Bernardy and can be found at semiologic.com/software/static-front.

To install & use the static front page plugin

1.

Follow the instructions earlier in this chapter and on the static front page plugin Web page to install and activate the plugin.

2.

Open the Write Page administration panel for a new or existing WordPress page (Figure 60).

3.

Create or edit the page as desired.

4.

In the Post slug text box enter the word home (Figure 60).

5.

Click Create New Page or Save to publish the page.

6.

View your blog's Home Page. The page you just created or modify should appear as the Home page. (Figure 59).
