Adhesive

Adhesive lets you designate a post as sticky, meaning it will stay at the top of the Home Page and relevant Archive or Category pages, rather than scrolling down the pages when newer content is added. This is especially useful for presenting important information or announcements about your blog or one of its categories.

Adhesive was developed by Owen Winkler and can be downloaded from redalt.com/wiki/adhesive.

To install and configure Adhesive

1.

Follow the instructions earlier in this chapter and in the Adhesive documentation to install and activate Adhesive.

Figure 29. Sticky posts are identified in the Manage Posts administration panel.

  • To remove the sticky feature from a post, follow the above steps but turn off the Sticky check box in step 2. When you publish the post, it will fall into the normal chronology of the blog's other posts.
