Managing Pages


The Page Management administration panel (Figure 74) offers access to all of your Pages. From this panel, you can search for, view, edit, and delete Pages.

To view the Page Management administration panel

1.

If necessary, log into your blog and display the Dashboard.

2.

Click the Manage button.

3.

Click the Pages button in the second row of buttons. The Page Management administration panel appears (Figure 74).

To search for a Page

1.

Near the top of the Page Management administration panel (Figure 74) enter a search word or phrase in the Search Pages box.

2.

Click Search.

WordPress displays the search results in the Page Management administration panel (Figure 75).

Tip

  • WordPress searches both the title and the content of Pages to match search criteria.


To view a Page

In the Page Management administration panel (Figure 74), click the View button for the Page you want to view.

The Page appears in your blog.

To edit a Page

1.

In the Page Management administration panel (Figure 74), click the Edit button for the Page you want to modify.

or

In your blog, click the edit link for a Page you want to modify.

The Page appears in a Write Page administration panel (Figure 76).

2.

Make changes as desired to the Page's contents or other settings as discussed earlier in this chapter.

3.

Click the Save button beneath the Page content box.

Your changes are saved.

Tips

  • If your user profile does not have an administrative role, you can only modify a Page you own.

  • To publish a draft Page, follow these steps, but in step 3, click the Publish button that appears beneath the Page Content box.


To delete a Page

1.

In the Page Management administration panel (Figure 74), click the Delete button for the Page you want to remove.

or

In the Write Page administration panel for a Page you are editing (Figure 76), click the Delete this Page button.

2.

In the confirmation dialog that appears (Figure 77), click OK.

The Page is permanently removed from your blog.
