Logging in to a Blog

To make changes to a blog, you must log in. This applies whether you're the blog's administrator or just another user.

Tips

To log in to a blog, you need your username and password. This information was e-mailed to you when you created your WordPress.com account or installed WordPress on a server.
If you turn on the Remember me check box when you log in (Figure 25), you'll be automatically logged in each time you visit your blog.

When you are logged into your blog, the Login link on a blog page appears as a Site Admin link.
If you can't find your blog password, click the Lost your password? link in the login window (Figure 25) and follow the instructions to have your password e-mailed to you.

1.	Click the Login link on your Blog's home page (Figure 5). or Use your Web browser to open `username.wordpress.com/wp-login.php`.
2.	The WordPress login screen appears (Figure 25).
3.	Enter your username and password in the boxes.

1.	Click the Login link on your Blog's home page (Figure 24). or If WordPress is installed in its own folder in your Web site's root directory, use your Web browser to open `www.example.com/wordpress/wp-login.php`. or If the individual WordPress files are installed in your Web site's root directory, use your browser to open `www.example.com/wp-login.php`.
2.	The WordPress login screen appears (Figure 25).
3.	Enter your username and password in the boxes.
