File Locations Preferences


File Locations preferences (Figure 39) enable you to set the default disk location for certain types of files. This makes it easier for Word (and you) to find these files.

To set or change a default file location

1.

Click to select the name of the file type for which you want to set or change the file location (Figure 39).

2.

Click the Modify button.

3.

Use the Choose a Folder dialog that appears (Figure 40) to locate and select the folder in which the files are or will be stored.

Click Choose.

The pathname for the location appears to the right of the name of the file type (Figure 41).
