Track Changes Preferences


The Track Changes preferences (Figure 29) control the way the track changes feature works.

  • Inserted text controls the appearance of text that is inserted into the document. Choose options from the Mark and Color pop-up menus (Figures 30 and 31).

  • Deleted text controls the appearance of text that is deleted from the document. Choose options from the Mark and Color pop-up menus (Figures 30 and 31).

  • Changed formatting controls the appearance of text that has been reformatted. Choose options from the Mark and Color pop-up menus (Figures 30 and 31).

  • Changed lines controls the location and appearance of the changed lines marker. Choose options from the Mark and Color pop-up menus (Figures 32 and 31).

  • Comments controls the color of comment balloons for changes. Choose an option from the Color pop-up menu (Figure 31).

  • Use balloons to display changes displays changes in balloons in the margin of the document (Figure 33).

  • Include author, time stamp and action buttons includes the author name, the date and time the change was made, and action buttons for the change in the balloon (Figure 33). The Use balloons to display changes option must be enabled to change this option.
