Previewing Web Page Files

Not all Word formatting appears the same in a Web browser window as it does in Word. This means that a Web page you create in Word may look different when published on the Internet or a corporate intranet.

The Web Page Preview command on Word's File menu (Figure 1) enables you to see what a Web page you created in Word looks like when viewed with a Web browser. Previewing a Web page helps you ensure that its appearance is acceptable when viewed by others.

To preview a Web page

1.

Choose File > Web Page Preview (Figure 1).

Word launches your default Web browser. The Web page appears in the browser window (Figure 26).

2.

When you are finished viewing the document in your Web browser, choose Application menu name > Quit Application or press to quit the program and return to Word.
