Movies


The Insert menu's Movie command (Figure 1) enables you to insert a movie into a Word document. Word supports a variety of movie formats, including QuickTime, Flash, MPEG, and AVI.

To insert a movie

1.

Position the insertion point where you want the movie to appear.

2.

Choose Insert > Movie (Figure 1) to display the Insert Movie dialog.

3.

Locate and select the movie file that you want to insert (Figure 26).

Click the Choose button. The movie is inserted in the document's drawing layer and the Movie toolbar appears (Figure 27).

Tips

  • You can use the Movie toolbar (Figure 27) to play and set options for a selected movie.

  • Click the icon within the movie frame (Figure 27) to display the movie's controller (Figure 28).

  • When you insert a movie, you link it to your document. To open the document with the movie on another computer, the movie must be copied to that computer with the document.
