“No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.”
—Calvin Coolidge, former president of the United States
We sometimes worry that if we praise people too much it will lose its meaning. Please allow us to ease your mind: that will never happen.
Most of us never get enough praise and positive reinforcement. If you really must worry about something, you would do better to worry about whether you are providing enough recognition.
In the most comprehensive study done on workplace environment, The Gallup Organization determined that top performers need positive reinforcement at least once a week. We believe that should be a bare minimum.
REMEMBER: | The more you practice constant and frequent recognition, the more it will become second nature. Frequency builds trust, teamwork and relationships that are positive and productive. |
