When presenting a service award, think of the five things that make an employee valuable:

  2. Ability

  3. Knowledge

  4. Experience

  5. Commitment

Lacking any one of these qualities diminishes one’s value, sometimes completely. So, find a way to reinforce these “employee virtues” in reference to the person being honored.
