For the do-it-yourselfers among us…

CREATE A HALL OF FAME FILE

We each have a file at the office that isn’t opened much but proves invaluable every time we do. We call it the “Hall of Fame File.”

It’s filled with positive performance appraisals, thank-you cards, awards, personal notes from family and friends—anything that validates us as people and professionals. (Of course, there’s always room for more.)

On days when we really need a little emotional pick-me-up or self-esteem booster but none seems to be forthcoming from those around us, we open the file and voila!—instant recognition!
