We never cease to be amazed by the power of praise, and, conversely, by how few managers tap it. Here’s a great way to start:

Schedule a one-on-one meeting with an employee to focus on only the positive things that the employee does. Resist the urge to talk about any areas that need improvement. Trust us, it will be difficult. But, then, most truly worthwhile things are.
