Table of Contents | |
In this chapter, I discuss advanced aspects of COM to .NET Interop, that is, using .NET components from a COM/Win32 client. Some of the issues that I discuss in this chapter include the following: techniques for creating objects without requiring registration, object life cycle implications, class interfaces, rich error information, using Windows Forms controls as ActiveX controls, managed events in unmanaged clients , and deployment. By the time you are done with this chapter, you will be ready to use COM to .NET Interop in most real-world scenarios. |
