What's Next

In this chapter, we discussed the org.apache.struts.action.ActionMapping class and how it can be extended to provide specialized mapping information to the ActionServlet. We then went on to create a sample ActionMapping extension that allows us to turn on and off debug logging on an Action-by-Action level.

At this point, you should feel comfortable with the process of creating and deploying custom ActionMappings. You should also have some insight into how useful an ActionMapping extension can be.
