11.2 REVIEW BUILT COMPONENTS

Within this stage of the development of your Software Metrics program you will have numerous items to review. There are standards or guideline documents, training material and process designs among other things.

Do not skimp these reviews as they cover items that form the public face of your metrics program. The Metrics Coordination Group or a subset of it can usefully form your review group. You may decide to go for walkthroughs or you may decide to use full, formal Fagan Inspections against the design and requirements documents. In any case it is the act of reviewing that is more important rather than the method that is used.
